User Profile Function - Fields Description

At this function, user will come across various fields or columns that needs to be maintained with relevant data.

The descriptions of the respective field or column, are as follows:-

User Profile (Panel)

User ID

This is the identity credential of the respective user in the system.

User Name

This is the staff name of the respective user in the system.

Branch Code

This is the branch code of which the staff has been stationed in a bank or financial institution, e.g., 00003 - PJ Branch.

<User Profiles List> (Sub-Panel)

User ID

This is the identity credential of the respective user in the system.

Note: Each user has a unique ID no. and will not be the same as another user in a bank or financial institution.

Staff ID

This is the unique identity number of the respective staff in a bank or financial institution.

Note: Each staff has a unique ID no. and will not be the same as another staff in a bank or financial institution.

Status

This is status of the respective system user.

The options, are as follows:-

  • A - Active

  • I - Inactive

  • U – Unused

  • D - Deleted

  • E - Expired

  • R - Resigned

  • S – Suspended

  • O – Overriding (for edited user profile that has been sent for overriding)

Note:

  • During the data input time towards the creation of a user profile, the default status of the user profile will be set as 'U - Unused'.

  • Prior to the first login attempt, the default status will still be set as 'U - Unused'.

  • Upon user first successfully logged in using a User ID, then the status of the user profile will be changed to 'A - Active'. Only active status Users can login to system using their assigned User IDs.

  • If a User ID has not been used for a certain number of days, pre-defined at the 'USRID_UNUSED' parameter, then status of the user profile will change to 'I - Inactive'.

  • If a User status has been at the 'I - Inactive' status for a certain number of days, pre-defined at the 'USRID_INACV' parameter, then the status of the user profile will be changed to 'D - Deleted'.

  • When a user profile has been deleted from this 'User Profile' function, the status of the user profile will also change to 'D - Deleted'.

  • When a User ID has passed the 'User Expiry Date' maintained in this 'User Profile' function, then the user profile status will change to 'E - Expired'.

  • When a User has attempted to login but failed for more than the maximum number of times, pre-defined at the LOGIN_ALWD' parameter, the user profile status will change to 'S - Suspended'.

Branch Code

This is the branch code of which the staff has been stationed in a bank or financial institution, e.g., 00003 - PJ Branch.

Default Group And Level

This is the 'usual' user group and level of the respective user in system. Each user must at least attached to a default user group and level during the User ID creation.

  • This panel will be displayed when the function screen has been opened.

  • The purposes of this panel, are as follows:-

    • To view and download the list of User IDs that have been created in system.

    • Access point to create User IDs.

    • Access point to view details of the respective User profile for updates.

User Profile Details (Panel)

User ID

This is the identity credential of the respective user in the system.

Note: Each user has a unique ID no. and will not be the same as another user in a bank or financial institution.

This is the unique identity number of the respective staff in a bank or financial institution.

Note: Each staff has a unique ID no. and will not be the same as another staff in a bank or financial institution.

Branch Code

This is the branch code of which the staff has been stationed in a bank or financial institution, e.g., 00003 - PJ Branch.

Default Group

This is the 'usual' user group of the respective user in system. Each user must at least attached to a default user group and level during the User ID creation.

Note: User group codes are user definable at the 'User Group & Level' function.

Default Level

This is the 'usual' user level of the respective user in system. Each user must at least attached to a default user group and level during the User ID creation.

Some examples, are as follows:-

  • 1 (denotes Clerk)

  • 3 (denotes Officer)

  • 5 (denotes Manager)

Note: User group levels are user definable at the 'User Group & Level' function.

Status

This is status of the respective system user.

The available options, are as follows:-

  • A - Active

  • I - Inactive

  • R - Resigned

Note:

  • During the data input time towards the creation of a user profile, the default status of the user profile will be set as 'U - Unused'.

  • Prior to the first login attempt, the default status will still be set as 'U - Unused'.

  • Upon user first successfully logged in using a User ID, then the status of the user profile will be changed to 'A - Active'. Only active status Users can login to system using their assigned User IDs.

  • When a user profile is in the 'A - Active' status, it can be changed to either 'I - Inactive' or 'R - Resigned', and vice-versa.

  • When a user profile is in one of the following statuses, at a time, it can be changed to 'A - Active' status in this function:-

  • I - Inactive

  • R - Resigned

  • E - Expired

  • S - Suspended

Password Expiry Date

This is the last valid date of the respective user’s password. After this date, user will not be allowed to login to system using the password.

Note:

  • For new user profile, this field will be displayed with a value, following the data input at the following fields:-

    • Default Group

    • Default Level

  • This field value will be computed, based on the password expiry (in days), pre-maintained at the User Group & Level function, and the date the user profile has been created (with user password generated).

Password Policy

This is the applied password policy for the respective User ID.

Note:

  • Different user password policy can be applied for different user.

  • Password policies can be pre-maintained at the 'Password Policy' function.

User Expiry Date

This is the User ID’s expiry date.

Note:

  • For new user profile, this field will be displayed with a value, following the data input at the following fields:-

    • Default Group

    • Default Level

  • This field value will be computed, based on the User ID expiry (in days), pre-maintained at the User Group & Level function, and the date the user profile has been created (with user password generated).

Last Login Date

This is most recent date that the selected User ID has logged in to the system.

Remarks

This is the additional details or comments relating to the respective user profile.

Add Role (Sub-Panel)

Group

This is the other user group, of the selected user.

Level

This is the other user group level, of the selected user.

Expiry Date

This is the last validity date of the respective other user group and level.

Remarks

This is the additional details or comments relating to the respective user role.

Add Branch (Sub-Panel)

Branch

This is the code and description of the branch of which the staff has been stationed in a bank or financial institution for a certain user role, e.g., 0003 - PJ Branch.

Group

This is the other user group, of the selected user.

Level

This is the other user group level, of the selected user.

Expiry Date

This is the last validity date of the respective other user group and level.

Remarks

This is the additional details needs to be recorded relating to a user role by branch.

  • This panel will be displayed, after user has done the followings:-

    • Click once on the CreateNewRecord button.

    • Clicked once on the Details icon of a user profile record.

  • The purposes of this panel, are as follows:-

    • Access point to create new user profile.

    • View the user profiles created

    • Access point to select for user profiles for updates.

Add Role (Pop-Up Window)

Group

This is the other user group, besides the default user group.

Level

This is the other user group level, besides the default user group’s level.

Expiry Date

This is the last validity date of the respective other user group and level.

Remarks

This is the additional details or comments relating to the respective user role.

  • The window will pop up, after user has done the followings:-

    • Clicked once on the Add button at the Add Role' section.

    • Clicked once on the Details icon of an additional user role.

  • The purposes of this window, user to add new roles and make related changes.

Add Branch (Pop-Up Window)

Branch

This is the code and description of the branch of which the staff has been stationed in a bank or financial institution for a certain user role, e.g., 00003 - PJ Branch.

Group

This is the other user group, of the selected user.

Level

This is the other user group level, of the selected user.

Expiry Date

This is the last validity date of the respective other user group and level.

Remarks

This is the additional details needs to be recorded relating to a user role by branch.

  • The window will pop up after user has done the followings:-

    • Clicked once on the Addbutton

    • Clicked once on the Details button of a branch record at the 'Add Branch' section.

  • The purposes of this window, user to add new roles by branches, and make related changes.

Delete <User ID> (Pop-Up Window)

To Confirm, Fill in Remarks

This is the reason or any comments or details concerning the deletion of a user profile record.

  • This window will be displayed after user has clicked once on the Remove Delete icon of a user profile record.

  • The purpose of this window is to allow user to input the reason for a user profile deletion and to confirm to proceed with data deletion.
