Future Address Maintenance Function - Fields Description

At this function, user will come across various fields or columns that needs to be maintained with relevant data.

The descriptions of the respective field or column, are as follows:-

<Customer Search Criteria> (Panel)

Please Enter Search Value

This is the value to be used to search for the related customer record.

Note: If the value inputted into this field is relating to Customer IDs, Customer Names or Customer’s contract telephone number, user can click the relevant Customer ID or Customer Name or Phone No. button, accordingly.

ID No.

This is the search criteria button to be clicked once, for system to search and retrieve the relevant customer records.

Note: Click once on this button if the value inputted at the 'Please Enter Search Criteria' field is related to existing Customer IDs.

Customer Name

This is the search criteria button to be clicked once, to search and retrieve the relevant customer records.

Note: Click once on this button if the value inputted at the 'Please Enter Search Criteria' field is related to existing customer names.

Phone No.

This is the search criteria button to be clicked once, to search and retrieve the relevant customer records.

Note: Click once on this button if the value inputted at the 'Please Enter Search Criteria' field is related to existing customers' contact telephone numbers.

  • This panel will pop upon the function screen opened.

  • The purpose of this panel is for user to search for the relevant customer record.

<Customer Listing> (Pop-Up Window)

Please Enter Search Value

This is the value to be used to search for the related customer record.

Note: If the value inputted into this field is relating to Customer IDs, Customer Names or Customer’s contract telephone number, user can click the relevant Customer ID or Customer Name or Phone No. button, accordingly.

Customer ID

This is the search criteria button to be clicked once, for system to search and retrieve the relevant customer records.

Note: Click once on this button if the value inputted at the 'Please Enter Search Criteria' field is related to existing Customer IDs.

Customer Name

This is the search criteria button to be clicked once, to search and retrieve the relevant customer records.

Note: Click once on this button if the value inputted at the 'Please Enter Search Criteria' field is related to existing customer names.

Phone No.

This is the search criteria button to be clicked once, to search and retrieve the relevant customer records.

Note: Click once on this button if the value inputted at the 'Please Enter Search Criteria' field is related to existing customers' contact telephone numbers.

Customer ID

This is the unique identification number of an individual (as in a person).

ID Type

This is the type of identification of an individual, e.g., AUTOGENID - Auto Generated ID, Passport or Passport.

Customer Name

This is the name of the customer.

Phone No.

This is the correspondence mobile phone number, or house number, or office number of the individual customer.

  • This window will pop up, after user has clicked once on either one of the available search criterion buttons located at the 'Customer Search Criteria' panel, when there are record(s) found or no record can be found.

  • The purpose of this window is for user to further filter and select a relevant customer record found.

<Customer Information> (Panel)

<Customer Name>

This is the customer name that is related to the 'Customer ID' field’s value.

Customer ID/ ID Type

This is the unique identification number of an individual (as in a person), and the type of identification number e.g., AUTOGENID - Auto Generated ID, and Passport.

Status/ Customer Type

This is the status of a customer information file in system database, e.g., 'N - Normal' or 'P -Prospect', and the type of customer associated with the value displayed at the 'Customer ID' field, e.g., I - Individual.

Dataset Code

This is the code associated the dataset of the customer information data fields used in creating the related customer information file earlier, e,g, INDIV.

  • This panel will be displayed, after user has double-clicked on a customer record at the 'Customer Listing' pop-up window.

  • The purpose of this panel is for user to view the main details of the selected customer record.

Future Address Maintenance (Panel)

Effective Date

This is the date that a new corresponding address will take effect.

Addr Type

This is address category of the respective corresponding address.

Some possible available values that can be displayed, are as follows:-

  • 1 - Current Address

  • 2 - Permanent Address

  • 3 - Office Address

  • 4 - Other Address

  • 8 - Email Address

  • 9 - SWIFT Address

Addr Seq

This is the ordered number list of an address.

Present Address

This is the postal address that has been maintained and is being used for the selected customer in system.

Future Address

This is the postal address maintained for the selected customer in system to be used at a future date.

Change To Corr Address

This indicates that the postal address will be used as the corresponding address for the customer at a certain effective date.

The possible values that can be selected, are as follows:-

  • Yes (indicates to be used as a corresponding address)

  • No (indicates not to be used as a corresponding address)

Address Type

This is the category of a postal address.

The possible values that could be select for this field, are as follows:-

  • 1 - Current Address

  • 2 - Permanent Address

  • 3 - Office Address

  • 4 - Other Address

Address Sequence

This is the ordered number list of an address.

Current Correspondence Address

This indicates that the postal address will be used as the corresponding address for the customer at a certain effective date.

The possible values that can be selected, are as follows:-

  • Yes (indicates to be used as a corresponding address)

  • No (indicates not to be used as a corresponding address)

Present Address

This indicates that the postal address that is being used, as the current corresponding address.

Future Address (Sub-panel)

Effective Date

This is the date that a new corresponding address will take effect.

Set as Correspondence Address

This indicates that this address will be used as the corresponding address for the customer at a certain effective date.

The possible values that can be selected, are as follows:-

  • Yes (indicates to be used as a corresponding address)

  • No (indicates not to be used as a corresponding address)

Address Line 1

This is the 1st line of an address.

Address Line 2

This is the 2nd line of an address.

Address Line 3

This is the 3rd line of an address.

Address Line 4

This is the 4th line of an address.

Address Line 5

This is the 5th line of an address.

Country

This is the country location of a postal address.

Note:

  • Country codes are user definable via the Country & State Maintenance function.

  • The value of this column will be default to the country of the bank. However, user can overwrite the value.

  • The value selected in this field will filter the possible states that could be selected at the State field below.

State

A state is a tract of land containing a territory of an independent constitution in a country, e.g., Selangor. Therefore, this field refers to the code associated with a state, e.g., SEL.

Note:

  • State codes are user definable via the Country & State Maintenance function.

  • The possible states that could be selected in this field, are been filtered by the value selected at the 'Country' field, above.

  • The value selected in this column will filter the possible districts that could be selected at the 'District' column below.

City

This is the large town or an urban area with self-government located within a state, e.g., Petaling Jaya is a city located under the state of Selangor in Malaysia.

Postcode

This is the short sequences of numbers and/ or letters, inputted at the end of each postal address, which is used by post office as reference in the sorting of mail for distribution. Its is also known as a zip code.
