Front Desk Function - Introduction
There are many types of transactions in a bank or financial institution. These transactions can be mainly categorised as front desk transactions and back office transactions.
Front desk transactions are essentially those transactions performed by tellers when facing customers at counter in any banks or financial institutions. Whereas, back office transactions are those transactions that are not so urgently required and can be performed at a slight delayed manner.
This function is basically the access point for the respective front desk system user to select the transaction that he wishes to perform upon entering the function screen. Users will only be able to view, select, and perform the transactions to which they have access rights.
Once selection has been made in this function, user’s focus will be diverted to the selected transaction function screen.
