Collateral Code Function - Fields Description

At this function, user will come across various fields or columns that needs to be maintained with relevant data.

The descriptions of the respective field or column, are as follows:-

This refers to the different type of collateral in the system. This is a search criteria data input field.

This refers to a unique code created for different category of collateral. This is a search criteria data input field.

Collateral Category

This refers to the different type of collateral in the system.

The purpose of this Collateral Code Search sub-panel is to narrow down the list of codes categories, in order to assist the user, in his attempt to look for the relevant category of codes.

Collateral Code

This refers to a unique code created for different category of collateral.

Collateral Category

This refers to the different type of collateral in the system.

Collateral Type

This refers to the difference set of collateral category.

For example, a collateral category of Vehicle can offer 3 types of collateral type which are Boat, Car and Van.

Description

This refers to a short explanation of the collateral, e.g., charge/ lien on vacant building.

Abbreviation Code

This refers to the shortened form of a phrase, or a word associated with a collateral code.

CCRIS Code

This is the Central Credit Reference Information System (CCRIS) code to associate with the collateral code for CCRIS reporting purpose.

Map To CB Collateral Code

This refers to the collateral code of the respective country’s central bank. Different central banks may have different sets of collateral codes.

Margin of Finance

This refers to the margin of finance in percentage that is allowed for a particular type of collateral.

Exposure Limit

This refers to the system computed total credit exposure limit against all the collateral maintained in a credit application.

Revaluation Frequency

This refers to the frequency of which a collateral should be revalued.

User can set this according to the frequency preference based on the available options.

Depreciation Method

Depreciation indicates that the value of an asset/ collateral will decrease over a time period. This refers to the method to be used to compute depreciation of a collateral of a collateral code, e.g., Straight Line Method.

Quoted

This is an indicator that a particular collateral code (which is usually applicable if the collateral type is that of stock and shares), is of quoted type. Clicking Yes will indicate that a collateral code is quoted in the market.

Secured

This is an indicator that a particular collateral code is secured. For example, intangible collateral is usually considered as unsecured. Clicking Yes will indicate that the collateral code is considered a secured type.
