Customer Maintenance Function - Introduction

This function basically allows user to store the customer profiles (also know as customer information files) for the banks or financial institutions.

Each customer information file that has been created in system will bear a unique identification number that is system generated according to the selected identity number format.

Some available unique individual customer identification number formats, are as follows:-

  • Old NRIC

  • MyKad (Malaysian National Registration Identification Card)

  • Malaysian Passport No.

  • Birth Certificate No. (for minor)

  • Foreign Passport No.

  • PR Card

  • Police ID

  • Army ID

  • Other Docs

  • Social Security No. (for individual customer who has subscribed to a certain social security organisation)

  • Driver’s License No. (for individual customer)

Some common categories of information that can be stored in the function for the respective individual customer, are as follows:-

  • Main (e.g., Full Name, Honorific Title, Customer ID Type and No., Birth Date, Resident or Foreigner, Gender, Nationality, Marital Status and more)

  • Addresses (e.g., Correspondence postal address and correspondence SMS)

  • Contact Information

  • Contact Persons

  • Dependants

  • Employment

  • Deposit Information

The deletion of customer information files is only allowed, provided the customer information file is not attached to a credit application, and that the file has not linked to the core banking system.

Customer information file records of customers directly inputted from the 'CA Workspace' function will only be accessible from this 'Customer Maintenance' function, provided the application has been approved.
