GL Set (Product) Maintenance - Create Scenarios

Scenario 1: Create Product GL Scheme

Details

Step 1

From the Tree Menu, search for the GL Set (Product) Maintenance function, and then click once on it.

Step 2

By default, system will display the screen with unfiltered record of product general ledger (GL) schemes.

Note:

  • All the available product GL records will be listed.

  • User needs to either go through the entire list or input the relevant search criteria and click once on the Refresh button.

Step 3

Click once on the CreateNewRecord button.

Step 4

System will display the GL Set Details panel.

Step 5

Proceed to input values concerning the main details of the product Gl scheme, and then click once on the Load button.

Alternatively, upon inputted the main details of the product GL scheme, click once on the 'Copy' button. Then, select by double-clicking on a product GL scheme displayed at the 'GL Set Details Selection' pop-up window. or 'Copy' button to input values for all relevant values for the new GL Set.

Step 6

System will retrieve and display the related GL fields of various available GL categories at the following sections:-

  • Common

  • Additional

Note: If the creation of the product GL scheme is by copying from an existing product GL scheme, the related GL codes will also be inherited, and displayed accordingly.

Step 7

Proceed to input, or overwrite the relevant GL codes for the related GL fields, at the 'Common' section, as follows:-

  1. Double-click on the 'GL Code' column of the respective GL field record.

  2. Once the related 'GL Code' column has been enabled for data input, mouse over the column and press once on the 'Enter' key on the keyboard.

  3. Double-click on a GL code record at the 'GL Code LOV' pop-up window.

  4. Thereafter, click once on the OK button.

  5. System will populate the related values into the 'GL Code Descr.' and 'Itemised' columns, respectively.

Step 8

Proceed to input, or overwrite the relevant GL codes for the related GL fields, at the 'Additional' section (if relevant), as follows:-

  1. Double-click on either, the 'Cr Gl Cd' column, or the 'Amo Gl Cd' column, of the respective GL field record.

  2. Once the related the 'Cr Gl Cd' column, or the 'Amo Gl Cd' column has been enabled for data input, mouse over the column and press once on the 'Enter' key on the keyboard.

  3. Double-click on a GL code record at the 'GL Code LOV' pop-up window.

  4. Thereafter, click once on the OK button.

  5. System will populate the related value into the 'Cr Gl Descr.' or 'Amo Gl Descr.' column, accordingly.

Step 9

Lastly, Click once on the Save button. Upon confirmation on data saving, system will capture and save all the data inputted.

Note: Click once on the Cancel button, to discard all inputs made.
