Status

This is the status of the respective bank record.

The options, are as follows:

  • A - Active

  • I - Inactive

Country

This is the code and description of the country where the respective bank, or financial institution is located, and conducting its business operation, e.g., MY - Malaysia.

Bank Code

This is the unique code of the respective bank, or financial institution, e.g., MBB.

Bank Name

This is the brief description of the respective bank or financial institution, e.g., Malayan Banking Berhad.

Bank Short Name

This is the nickname of the respective bank or financial institution, that the user wants to use, to easily identify the bank.

Status

This is the status of the respective bank record.

The available options, are as follows:

  • A - Active

  • I - Inactive

Banker Type

This is the category of the respective bank, or financial institution, e.g., L - local bank.

Email Address

This is the electronic mailbox used to contact the respective bank, or financial institution.

Address 1

This is the 1st line of the corresponding address of a bank, or financial institution.

Address 2

This is the 2nd line of the corresponding address of a bank, or financial institution.

Address 3

This is the 3rd line of the corresponding address of a bank, or financial institution.

Address 4

This is the 4th line of the corresponding address of a bank, or financial institution.

Address 5

This is the 5th line of the corresponding address of a bank, or financial institution.

Country

This is the code and description of the country where the respective bank, or financial institution is located, and conducting its business operation, e.g., MY - Malaysia.

State

A state refers to a tract of land containing a territory of an independent constitution in a country. Therefore, the value in this field refers to the code associated with a state, e.g., 13 - Selangor where a bank is located.

City

City essentially refers to a large and permanent settlement distinguished from a town, that have a particular administrative, legal and historical status based on local law, e.g., Petaling Jaya. This refers to a code associated with a city, e.g., B01 - Petaling Jaya.

Postcode

This is the short sequences of numbers or letters at the end of addresses, which are used by post office as reference in the sorting of mail for distribution. It is also known as a zip code, or postal code. Therefore, this is the postal code of the respective bank or financial institution. It is dependent on the postal code format of the country or the bank or financial institution.

Telephone No.

This is the telephone number used to contact the respective bank, or financial institution.

Fax No.

This is the facsimile number of the respective bank, or financial institution.

Contact Person

This is the name of the representative of the bank, or financial institution, to be contacted for any enquiries.

Remarks

This is the comments made on a bank, or financial institution.

Parent Flag

This is an indicator whether the respective bank, or financial institution itself is a parent of another bank or financial institution.

The available options, are as follows:

  • No

Parent Bank Code

This is the unique abbreviation code defined by respective bank, or financial institution for the ease in the identification of the other respective principal bank, or financial institution it has dealing with, e.g., MBBEMYKL - Malayan Banking Berhad, Kuala Lumpur.

Note: This field will be enabled for data input, provided the 'Parent Flag' field is set to 'No'.

Account No. Size

This is the length of account number maintained, e.g. 8 or 12 digits for the respective bank or financial institution.

Abbreviation Bank Code

This is the unique abbreviation code defined for the respective bank, or financial institution for the ease in the identification of the other respective principal bank, or financial institution it has dealing with, e.g., MBB - Malayan Banking Berhad.

GIRO BIC

This is the bank identifier code used to specify the respective bank, or financial institution for money to be moved from one bank to another via the 'General Interbank Recurring Order' (GIRO) payment method.

RENTAS BIC

This is the bank identifier code used to specify the respective bank, or financial institution for money to be moved from one bank to another via the 'Real Time Electronics Transfer of Funds and Securities' (RENTAS) payment method.

FPX BIC

This is the bank identifier code used to specify the respective bank, or financial institution for money to be moved from one bank to another via the 'Financial Process Exchange' (FPX) payment method.
