Agent Function - Fields Description

At this function, user will come across various fields or columns that needs to be maintained with relevant data.

The descriptions of the respective field or column, are as follows:-

Agent List (Panel)

<Agent Search> (Sub-Panel)

Agent Type

This refers to the agent classification, e.g., D - Dealer, I - Insurer and P - Supplier. This is a search criteria data input field.

Agent Code

This refers to a unique code used to identify each agent, e.g. JLW0001, JLW002 and HBC200. This is a search criteria data input field.

Agent Name

This refers to the name of an agent, e.g., James Jacobs, Victoria Breckett and Lydia Wang. This is a search criteria data input field.

Agency

This refers to the establishment that is engaged in doing tasks for another, e.g, JLW - Jones Lang Wootton, HBC - Henry Butcher Consultancy Sdn. Bhd and AIA - American International Assurance Bhd. This is a search criteria data input field.

Outlet Name

This refers to the physical location of the outlet of the agent. This is a search criteria data input field.

<Agents Search Results> (Sub-Panel)

Agency

This refers to the establishment that is engaged in doing business for another, e.g, JLW - Jones Lang Wootton, HBC - Henry Butcher Consultancy Sdn. Bhd and AIA - American International Assurance Bhd.

Agent Type

This refers to the agent classification, e.g., D - Dealer, I - Insurer and P - Supplier.

Agent Code

This refers to a unique code used to identify each agent, e.g. JLW0001, JLW002 and HBC200.

Agent Name

This refers to the name of an agent, e.g., James Jacobs, Victoria Breckett and Lydia Wang.

Status

This refers to the possible status of an agent, e.g., A - Active and I - Inactive.

Approved Date

This refers to the date on which an approval has been obtained for the agent to act for a bank or financial institution.

Status

This refers to the possible status of an agent, e.g., A - Active or I - Inactive.

Business/ ID No.

This refers to the unique identification number of the agent in system.

Mobile No.

This refers to the mobile contact number of the agent.

Office Phone No.

This refers to the office contact number of the agent.

Fax No.

This refers to the fax number of the agent.

GST/ Tax No.

This refers to the GST - Goods and Services Tax/ Tax number of the agent.

Self Bill No.

This refers to the self billing invoice number of the agent.

Email Address

This refers to the email address of the agent.

Contact Person

This refers to the name of the representative to be contacted for any enquiries.

Remarks

This refers to comments or description made on agent.

Settlement (Section)

Banker

This refers to the code of the bank where the agent holds an account for external settlement instruction, e.g. CITI-Citibank.

Settlement Channel

This is the payment option indicator of the agent fees or commission.

The possible options that can be displayed, are as follows:-

  • E- External (Settlement of fees or commission via account outside system)

  • I - Internal (Settlement of fees or commission via journal or account in system)

  • N - Not Applicable

Settlement Type

This refers to the type of settlement instruction.

The possible values that can be displayed, are as follows:-

  • J - Journal

  • T - Transfer

  • FPX - Financial Process Exchange

  • GIRO - GIRO

Account No.

This refers to the agent’s deposit account number in the bank or financial institution, to be used for settlement.

Use For

This refers to the payment purpose, e.g., P - Payment or R - Receipt or B - Payment and Receipt.

Settlement Details (Pop-Up Window)

Settlement Channel

This is the payment option indicator of the agent fees or commission.

The possible options that can be selected, are as follows:-

  • E- External (Settlement of fees or commission via account outside system)

  • I - Internal (Settlement of fees or commission via journal or account in system)

  • N - Not Applicable

Settlement Type

This refers to the type of settlement instruction.

The possible values that can be selected, are as follows:-

(If Settlement Channel = E)

  • FPX - Financial Process Exchange

  • GIRO - GIRO

(If Settlement Channel = I)

  • J - Journal

  • T - Transfer

Banker

This refers to the code of the bank where the agent holds an account for external settlement instruction, e.g. CITI-Citibank.

Account No

This is either the external CASA, or the CASA within the bank and system, to be used for settlement purpose.

Note:

This field will appear on the following conditions and mandatory for data input:-

  • If Settlement Channel = E

  • If Settlement Channel = I, whereby the Settlement Type = T

User For

This refers to the payment purpose, e.g., P - Payment or R - Receipt.
