Manual Periodic Function - Introduction

This function basically allows user (system administrator) to do the following:-

  • View the previous types of periodic processes that have been performed, and the date performed.

  • Manually trigger the selected type of periodic process (SOD, or EOD, or EOM) to take place.

A main justification for the manual periodic process over the automated periodic process which improves efficiency, is that banks or financial institutions will still be in control in the handling of exceptional cases, audits, or specific business needs. While automation is efficient, it may not always align with certain unique situations or exceptions.
