Workflow Setup Function - View Scenarios

Scenario 1: Update Details of 'Draft' Workflow Process Code

Details

Step 1

From the Tree Menu, search for the Workflow Setup function, and then click once on the function name.

Step 2

By default, system will display a list of workflow process codes, if any.

Note:

  • All the available workflow process codes will be listed.

  • User needs to go through the entire list, or to narrow down the list by inputting the relevant search criteria, and then, click once on the Refresh button.

  • System only allows the details of the workflow process codes that are in the 'N - New' status to be edited.

  • A draft workflow process code refers to a workflow process code that has not been submitted for approval, and is in the 'N - New' status.

Step 3

Click once on the Details icon of a workflow process code record.

Step 4

The details of the selected workflow process code record, will be displayed at the 'Workflow Process Details' panel in the following sub-panels:

  • <Workflow Process Code> located at the top part of the panel

  • Workflow List

  • Workflow State

Note:

  • Click once on the Details button' of a record at the 'Workflow List' sub-panel, to view more related details.

  • Click once on the Details button' of a record at the 'Workflow State' sub-panel to view more related details.

Step 5

Proceed to overwrite the relevant field values at the panel.

  • Click once on the Details button' of a record at the 'Workflow List' sub-panel. Then, overwrite the relevant field values at the 'Workflow Process Details' pop-up window, and then click once on the OK button.

  • Click once on the Details button' of a record at the 'Workflow State' sub-panel. Then, overwrite the relevant field values at the 'Workflow State Details' pop-up window, and then click once on the OK button.

Step 6

Lastly, click once on the Save button. Upon confirmation on data saving, system will capture and save data updated.

Note:

  • Click once on the Submit button, to send the workflow process code for approval.

  • Click once on the Cancel button, to discard all changes made.

Scenario 2: Approve a Workflow Process Code

Details

Step 1

From the Tree Menu, search for the Workflow Setup function, and then click once on the function name.

Step 2

By default, system will display a list of workflow process codes, if any.

Note:

  • All the available workflow process codes will be listed.

  • User needs to go through the entire list, or to narrow down the list by inputting the relevant search criteria, and then, click once on the Refresh button.

Step 3

Click once on the Details icon of a workflow process code record.

Step 4

The details of the selected workflow process code record, will be displayed at the 'Workflow Process Details' panel in the following sub-panels:

  • <Workflow Process Code> located at the top part of the panel

  • Workflow List

  • Workflow State

Note:

  • Click once on the Details button' of a record at the 'Workflow List' sub-panel, to view more related details.

  • Click once on the Details button' of a record at the 'Workflow State' sub-panel to view more related details.

Step 5

Thereafter, click on the Approve button and system will update the status of the workflow process code as 'A - Approved' from 'P - Pending'.

Note: Click once on the Cancel button, to discard all changes made.

Scenario 3: Send a Workflow Process Code for Rework

Details

Step 1

From the Tree Menu, search for the Workflow Setup function, and then click once on the function name.

Step 2

By default, system will display a list of workflow process codes, if any.

Note:

  • All the available workflow process codes will be listed.

  • User needs to go through the entire list, or to narrow down the list by inputting the relevant search criteria, and then, click once on the Refresh button.

Step 3

Click once on the Details icon of a workflow process code record.

Step 4

The details of the selected workflow process code record, will be displayed at the 'Workflow Process Details' panel in the following sub-panels:

  • <Workflow Process Code> located at the top part of the panel

  • Workflow List

  • Workflow State

Note:

Step 5

Thereafter, click on the Rework button and system will update the status of the workflow process code as 'N - New' from 'P - Pending'.
