A country refers to a nation with its own government occupying a particular territory, e.g., MY - Malaysia. In Synergi System, country codes are required to be created and used for several purposes, such as to differentiate different country’s base currency, the country location of a bank branch, and the country location of a customer’s postal address.

As such, the country code maintenance function allows users to maintain details of countries in which a bank or financial organisation has business dealings, including the related states, to be used in system.
